This weeks selection for my Reflections in Verse Series

I hold and image within my head.

A special image of peace and tranquility

An image of a beautiful rising sun

An image of a new day just begun

The globe isn’t visible, the lights just begun

still below the horizon, rays rising like a fan

Ribbons of light signaling the end of the night.

The birth of a new day, emerging from night.

The rays light the tops of distant hills.

Slowing drifting down into the valley,

The ball still tucked behind a hill

Not ready to go to full bright.

I sit and enjoy the dawns early light

So peaceful and quiet, not a thing in site.

No pressure, or stress, just relaxation and rest

This image, I think I'll keep, to help balance my head.
